Blog Numero Uno

Hello! My name is Analeigh Sanchez & this is my first blog entry for Dr. Huff's Environmental Science Class at RCC. :]

Let's see... I'm a biology major, though I'm not sure as to what specific area of bio I'd like to go into. I am going to school at MSJC in Menifee & then taking Evo Sci at RCC. I went to school for Culinary Arts at RCC in 2008 and graduated with my certificate in 2009. Once I finish with my GE I'll have my AS in Cul Arts and then I'll transfer to a 4year university to get my BA in biology. I'm pretty excited to finish up, I think I have two semesters left at the community college level before I can transfer into upper division.

I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades. I have three jobs currently - Termin8 Pest Control as a secretary, MVP Studios as a photographer & Leoness Cellars Winery as a Tour Hostess . I love being busy and don't mind (usually...) working seven days a week. I have worked in a couple of restaurants as a line cook and I've managed a number of holiday sets (If you need pictures with Santa or the Easter Bunny, I'm the girl to talk to. Haha)

Hmmm. Fun facts? I love baking and cooking, I try to do it once a week if I can. My favourite colour is green. I read the HP series for the first time this year. I have 2 cats, Tuskani & Ricotta. I'd love to live near the beach. I don't drink out of plastic water bottles and I'm trying super hard to remember my resuable bags when I go shopping. I am gonna plant a vegetable garden in my backyard while it's still warm. :D

I tried the ecological footprint thing at myfootprint.org and I was a little surprised at the results. http://myfootprint.org/en/your_results/?id=1504095
I'm gonna do the survey again at the end of the term and hopefully I will have made enough changes to lessen the number significantly. :] I was interested in taking this course to see what we could do to make enough little changes in our daily life that will help our environment as a whole. I'm excited to see what the term will bring :]
